Shell Layout Notes
A layout note names a place in the room. It does not name a maker.
What we write
- Seat facing, and which shell is closest to the chart stand
- Hi-hat side relative to the lead foot
- Bass drum on the floor line, pedal direction
- Cymbals above the shoulder line and clear of the door
- What is still unmeasured (ceiling height, exact inches) left blank
What we do not write
- Brand, model, price, or a kit offered for sale
- A claim that the room is a licensed school or a public venue
- Student counts or photos we do not have
